The protest by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) over alleged irregularities in examinations, including the NEET paper leak of May 3, entered its third consecutive day on Monday at Jantar Mantar, with demonstrators continuing their sit-in and intensifying demands for accountability.

The agitation, which began on Saturday afternoon, has seen participants remaining at the protest site through the night, with volunteers arranging food and drinking water for those gathered. Police personnel have been deployed in and around the area, with barricades put up to regulate movement and maintain order.

On Sunday, the protest site witnessed slogans, speeches and cultural performances, with supporters seen clapping, playing daflis and singing patriotic songs. Organisers claimed that more than 200 people had participated in the demonstration by the evening.

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said the protest would continue until their demands were met and urged farmer organisations and members of the public to join the agitation in large numbers.

The protesters are demanding accountability over alleged examination irregularities and the reported NEET paper leak. They have called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, alleging failure in ensuring transparency and accountability in the conduct of national-level examinations.

They have also sought compensation for families of students who allegedly died by suicide following the controversy and demanded cancellation of the examination, citing widespread irregularities.

During the protest, participants also raised concerns over basic civic facilities at the site, alleging temporary disruption of water supply to public restrooms. Organisers later said that access to drinking water had been restored following intervention.

The CJP has maintained that the agitation will continue until concrete action is taken on their demands. This marks the second major protest organised by the group at Jantar Mantar over issues related to paper leaks and exam-related grievances.

Security remains tight at the protest venue, with Delhi Police monitoring the situation closely to prevent any law-and-order issues. Officials said the situation remained under control despite the continuing demonstration.

The protest has added to ongoing public debate around examination integrity and recruitment processes, with repeated allegations of leaks and irregularities in recent competitive exams prompting calls for systemic reforms.

As the agitation enters its third day, organisers indicated that further mobilisation is expected, with participation from farmer groups likely in the coming days.
