Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Reaches New Stage, Confirms Nripendra Mishra.

The construction of the Shikhar at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya has officially begun, as confirmed by Nripendra Mishra, the chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Construction Committee.

The announcement was made during a three-day meeting held to review the progress and plans for the temple's construction. Mishra stated that the start of the Shikhar construction marks a significant milestone, considering it poses substantial technical challenges.

During the meeting, which took place on Friday, Mishra emphasised the importance of involving reputable agencies like Larsen & Toubro, TCE, and CRBI in the construction process.

He explained that each layer of the construction would undergo thorough inspections to ensure quality and safety. This approach reflects the commitment to maintaining high standards throughout the project.

In addition to the Shikhar, Mishra discussed the status of smaller construction projects associated with the temple. He mentioned that various works, such as substations, fire stations, sewer treatment plants, and water treatment plants, have been completed and will be handed over to the trust in instalments.

This strategy aims to make the trust accountable for the maintenance and operation of these facilities, ensuring that they function effectively as part of the overall temple complex.

Despite the progress, Mishra acknowledged that the construction schedule has faced delays of approximately two to three months. However, he remains optimistic, stating that if there are no further complications, the construction could be finished by July 2025. At that point, he noted that around 90 percent of the involved agencies would conclude their work on-site.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir is designed in the traditional Nagara architecture style. The temple's dimensions are impressive, with a length of 380 feet, a width of 250 feet, and a height of 161 feet.

The structure is supported by a total of 392 pillars and features 44 intricately designed doors. The pillars and walls of the temple are adorned with elaborate carvings that depict various Hindu deities, showcasing the rich artistic heritage associated with this sacred site.

The heart of the temple is the sanctum sanctorum, located on the ground floor, where the idol of Shri Ramlalla, representing the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram, will be placed. This significant feature underscores the temple's spiritual importance, as it aims to honor the legacy and teachings of Lord Ram.

As the construction progresses, the trust responsible for the project is working diligently to meet the challenges posed by the intricate designs and the ambitious timeline.

The construction of the Shikhar is a crucial step in realising the vision of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, a site that holds immense significance for millions of devotees across the country.
