Samrat Choudhary on Thursday said he would work towards making Bihar and the country prosperous, drawing inspiration from Guru Gobind Singh. He made the remarks during a visit to Takht Sri Patna Sahib, the birthplace of the 10th Sikh Guru.
Choudhary, a BJP leader, was sworn in a day earlier as the 24th Chief Minister of Bihar, marking the first time a member of the saffron party has assumed the top post in the state. “I am deeply inspired by Guru Gobind Singh ji. I pray that his blessings remain with the people of Bihar and that both the state and the nation move forward on the path of prosperity,” he said.
He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he would continue and build upon the work carried out over the years by former chief minister Nitish Kumar.
