Defence Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Gujarat's Bhuj where he will be interacting with the Air Warriors at Bhuj Air Force Station. Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh is accompanying him.
This comes a day after he concluded his visit to the Badami Bagh Cantt in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar, where he met and interacted with Indian Army soldiers. Singh will also visit the Smritivan Earthquake Memorial and Museum in Bhuj, which pays homage to the people who lost their lives in the devastating earthquake that struck the region on January 26, 2001.
During his address to troops at Badami Bagh Cantt, Singh underscored India’s firm resolve against terrorism and dismissed Pakistan’s repeated nuclear threats as irresponsible. Speaking in his first interaction with forces after Operation Sindoor, he stated, “Operation Sindoor has sent a loud and clear message to the terrorist organisations hiding in Pakistan and their masters that they are not safe anywhere.”
“Our forces have shown the world that their aim is precise and pinpoint, and the task of counting is left to the enemies,” he added.
Rajnath Singh raised concerns about the safety of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons, saying, “I raise this question before the world: Are nuclear weapons safe in the hands of such an irresponsible and rogue nation? Pakistan’s nuclear weapons should be taken under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”

The Defence Minister also expressed his gratitude to the valiant soldiers who destroyed Pakistani posts and bunkers across the border, sending a strong message to the enemy. “I come here today with a message from the people of India: ‘We are proud of our Forces’,” he said.
Singh reiterated that no unwarranted action should originate from across the border, aligning with the understanding between the two countries. Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stance, he emphasised that terrorism and talks cannot coexist. “If talks are held, it will only be on terrorism and PoJK,” he remarked.
Paying homage to innocent civilians killed in the Pahalgam terror attack and the soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during Operation Sindoor, Singh commended the bravery of the injured soldiers and wished them a speedy recovery.
Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Singh, J-K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, and other senior Indian Army officials were present on the occasion.
