Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a crucial meeting with senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders on Saturday, focusing on several important issues. The meeting, which took place shortly after Kejriwal's release on bail in the excise policy case, was held at the residence of senior AAP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
During the meeting, discussions centred on the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana and the party's organisational strategies in Delhi. AAP general secretary and MP Sandeep Pathak announced that Kejriwal will actively campaign in Haryana, where the party plans to contest all 90 assembly seats.
Pathak emphasised the party's commitment to the Haryana elections, stating that the cadre and organisation are present in every village, which he believes will lead to positive results.
The release of Kejriwal from Tihar jail on Saturday came after the Supreme Court granted him bail. Following his release, Kejriwal participated in a roadshow from Chandgiram Akhara to his official residence.
Reflecting on his imprisonment, Kejriwal expressed that the experience had only strengthened his resolve. He spoke passionately about his dedication to the country, his commitment to fighting against what he described as anti-national forces, and his gratitude towards the citizens who supported his release.
Kejriwal's speech highlighted his belief in the righteousness of his actions, asserting that his imprisonment was a result of his fight against forces attempting to weaken the country and the Election Commission. He vowed to continue his struggle against these forces, underscoring his determination to uphold his values and serve the nation.
The upcoming Haryana assembly elections, scheduled for October 5, will see the results declared on October 8. The AAP's strategic planning and Kejriwal's active involvement in the campaign reflect the party's determination to make a significant impact in the region.
