Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will extend train services beyond normal operating hours on October 30 to help spectators leave Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium after Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh’s concert. The extended operation will cover all Metro lines except the Airport Express Line and Rapid Metro, Gurugram.

Dosanjh is scheduled to begin his Aura India Tour 2026 in the national capital, with around 70,000 fans expected to attend. The nearest Metro station to the venue is JLN Stadium on the Violet Line.

DMRC will operate additional train trips across the network following the event. Several trains will also be kept ready for immediate deployment if passenger numbers rise unexpectedly during the dispersal.

QR ticket purchase timings on the Delhi Metro Sarthi mobile application will be extended by one hour in line with the longer service hours.

Passenger security arrangements at JLN Stadium Metro Station will also be strengthened. Additional security personnel will be deployed, while Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMDs) and enhanced screening measures will be used to regulate movement and maintain security protocols.

Dosanjh has also appealed to concertgoers to use the Metro. In an Instagram video, he said the stadium does not have parking facilities and advised fans to travel by Metro, noting that the station is located close to the venue. He also said services would remain available until midnight for the show.

The singer told fans that using the Metro would make it easier to reach the stadium, attend the performance and return home after the concert. Traffic congestion is expected on roads around the venue, making public transport a key travel option for spectators.

Remaining tour schedule

Following the Delhi concert, Dosanjh is scheduled to perform in Indore on November 15, Ahmedabad on November 21, Mumbai on November 27, Bengaluru on November 29 and Lucknow on December 5.

Chandigarh is also included in the tour itinerary, although its performance date and venue have not yet been announced.
