The exit polls for the Delhi Assembly elections suggest a lead for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), while the Congress is projected to make no significant gains.

These predictions come ahead of the official results, which the Election Commission will announce after the counting of votes on February 8.

Exit polls are conducted by election survey agencies based on interviews with voters as they leave polling stations. While they provide an indication of the likely outcome, the actual results may differ significantly.

According to the Matrize exit poll, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is expected to secure between 35 and 40 seats, while AAP may win 32 to 37 seats. The survey predicts that the Congress may get between 0 and 1 seat.

The People's Pulse exit poll has given a much larger margin to the NDA, projecting 51 to 60 seats, while AAP is estimated to get between 10 and 19 seats. According to this survey, the Congress is not likely to secure any seats.

The People's Insight exit poll suggests that the NDA may win 40 to 44 seats, AAP could secure 25 to 29 seats, and Congress may get between 0 and 1 seat.

Another survey by P-Marq exit poll predicts that the BJP and its allies could win between 39 and 49 seats, while AAP might get 21 to 31 seats. The Congress, according to this survey, could get between 0 and 1 seat.

The JVC exit poll has estimated that the BJP and its allies could win between 39 and 45 seats, while AAP may get 22 to 31 seats. Congress is expected to get between 0 and 2 seats, according to this prediction.

The Delhi Assembly has a total of 70 seats, with the majority mark set at 36. In the current Assembly, AAP holds 62 seats, while the BJP has eight. The Congress has no representation in the outgoing House.

The voting for the Delhi Assembly elections took place on Wednesday, and the results will be declared on February 8.

Delhi has a total of 1.55 crore voters, out of which nearly 58 percent had cast their votes by 5 pm on polling day. The final turnout figures are expected to be released by the Election Commission later.
