Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed more than 2,400 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets at the Annual NCC Prime Minister’s Rally at Cariappa Parade Ground, marking the grand finale of the month-long Republic Day Camp 2026 in the national capital.
The rally, held in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, brought together 2,406 cadets from across the country, including 898 girl cadets, along with 207 youth and officers from 21 foreign countries. The event was themed ‘Rashtra Pratham – Kartavya Nishtha Yuva’ (Nation First – Duty-Bound Youth).
Addressing the cadets, the Prime Minister underlined the role of the younger generation in shaping India’s future, describing the present era as “Amrit Kaal”, a decisive phase in which discipline and dedication would define India’s global standing by 2047.

He said the youth of the country were transforming from dreamers into architects of a developed India, stressing that national commitment, duty and character would drive this journey.
The rally featured disciplined displays, mounted parades and a cultural programme presented by NCC cadets, members of Rashtriya Rangshala and the National Service Scheme, highlighting their contribution to nation-building and social service.
A display of patriotism unfolded as NCC cadets on horseback paraded across the grounds, while the Prime Minister stood on the salute dais, acknowledging the national colours amid enthusiastic participation from the cadets.
