Hours after two terror attacks in Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir Police have intensified their manhunt for four terrorists.
Authorities have released sketches of suspects believed to be hiding in the mountains of Baderwah, Thathri and Gandoh.
The police have also stepped up security in the mountainous areas of the Doda district with helicopters flying low for closer surveillance. They have also imposed a curfew in these areas.
Residents are cooperating with the police in their search for the terrorists.
A checkpoint in the upper reaches of Doda was attacked on Wednesday by terrorists in which five Rashtriya Rifles personnel and one policeman was injured.
A reward of Rs 5 lakh for each terrorist was also announced by police for any information leading to arrests, with the informants' identities protected.
In the last four days terrorists struck at four places in Reasi, Kathua and Doda districts, killing nine bus passengers and a CRPF jawan and leaving seven security personnel among others injured.
A public engagement campaign is being launched amid tightened security measures, including vehicle checks and 'Naka' checks, following the recent encounter in the Gandoh area.
