At a time when recently-concluded Bihar conundrum is creating ripples in the political corridors of the country, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad on Monday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) here for questioning in connection with its probe into the alleged land-for-jobs scam, officials said.
Prasad accompanied by his daughter Misa Bharti reached the central agency’s office around 11.05 am, sources said.
Talking to reporters before entering the ED office, Bharati said, “Whenever any central agency calls our family members for questioning, we go there and cooperate with them and answer their all queries.”
Janata Dal(United) leader Nitish Kumar on Sunday took oath as the ninth chief minister of the state by taking a U-turn to the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance. He drubbed the mahagathbandhan where RJD and the Congress were in alliance.
After this jolt to the RJD, Lalu Prasad Yadav being interrogated today by the ED has come as another shock. Lalu’s family must have been prepared for this.
However, what happened yesterday where Kumar put forth his turncoat self and, thus, took an exit from the Bihar mahagathbandhan and the INDIA bloc has come as the biggest shock for the entire nation, ahead of the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.
