A tragic road accident in Rajasthan has left eight people dead after a roadways bus collided with a car on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway. The incident occurred when a tyre of the bus, which was en route from Jaipur to Ajmer, burst.
The burst tyre caused the bus driver to lose control, and the vehicle veered off its course, crashing into a car coming from Ajmer.
According to police reports, the bus, travelling along a busy route, suffered a tyre blowout near a divider, which led the driver to lose control. In a harrowing turn of events, the bus crashed head-on into a car that was travelling in the opposite direction.
The crash resulted in the car being severely crushed, and tragically, all eight passengers inside the car lost their lives.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Deepak Khandelwal confirmed the fatalities, expressing his condolences to the victims' families.
He explained that the collision was caused by the bus's loss of control after the tyre burst, which led to the fatal crash. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister expressed his shock and sorrow at the tragic accident. Taking to the social media platform X, he shared his condolences and extended support to the grieving families of the deceased.
In his message, he stated, "The news of the loss of life in the road accident in Dudu is extremely sad and heartbreaking. My condolences are with the bereaved families of the deceased." He further assured that all necessary actions were being taken to ensure proper treatment for those injured in the accident.
The Deputy Chief Minister also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured, posting, "May Lord Shri Ram provide peace to the departed souls and speedy recovery to the citizens injured in this accident."
His message conveyed both sympathy and resolve, as local authorities continue to deal with the aftermath of this devastating tragedy.
