As part of its broader push to enhance farmers’ income, the Centre will host a Northern Region conference on Friday in Lucknow to deliberate upon key policy issues related to the agriculture sector.
According to an official statement, Yogi Adityanath and Shivraj Singh Chouhan will attend the meeting, along with Union Ministers of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Choudhary and Ramnath Thakur.
The Northern Region Conference is designed to serve as a platform linking agriculture with new ideas, emerging technologies, and expanded market opportunities. Officials said the initiative aims to strengthen coordination between the Centre and states while improving farm sector outcomes.
The day-long event will feature thematic sessions on major agricultural programmes and issues, including the Kisan Credit Card, the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, horticulture development, the Pulses Self-Sufficiency Mission, the National Mission on Edible Oils–Oilseeds, and the Farmer Registry under the Digital Agriculture Mission.
