Agitating farmers carried out a 'tractor' march in Haryana's Ambala on Monday, after the 'jatha' of 101 farmers was stopped by Haryana police at the Shambhu border, as they attempted a foot march to the national capital.
The protesting farmers are currently camping at the Khanauri and Shambhu borders against several issues related to agriculture and farmers' rights.
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher has also announced to hold 'Rail Roko' on Wednesday from 12 noon to 3 pm, amplifying their protest for several demands.
Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait has asked the farmers to maintain unity, while also expressing concerns regarding Jagjit Singh Dallewal's health.
"I asked people to talk (with the government) together, the point is ‘batoge to lutoge’. I have been saying this since the protests started to protest unitedly, otherwise, they should stay away from Delhi, it is like 66,000-watt current, and they need to cross it. We are worried about the health of Jagjit Singh Dallewal… It has to be decided by the government. We are with the protesters", said Tikait.
Speaking on farmers' protest, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria says, "We held several talks with the farmers. If they put forward their demands peacefully, then talks will be held with them and a solution will be agreed upon."
Meanwhile, Haryana Minister Anil Vij cited, "After permission from the Administration, every organisation can hold a protest. The farmers should not block trains as it will cause inconvenience to many people. They should find another way to protest."
