Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched NITI Aayog's digital public infrastructure platform 'NITI For States' and inaugurated the 'Viksit Bharat Strategy Room' on Thursday. The platform aims to enhance policy and governance by providing robust knowledge and insights to government officials across various sectors.
The 'Viksit Bharat Strategy Room' facilitates visualization and engagement with insights, sharing of information, and knowledge to enable effective decision-making. It offers a multi-sectoral repository of best practices, policy documents, datasets, and publications spanning 10 sectors and two cross-cutting themes.
With over 7,500 best practices, 5,000 policy documents, and 900 datasets, the platform equips government officials with contextually relevant knowledge, enhancing the quality of their decision-making.
It also supports district collectors and block-level functionaries by providing access to innovative best practices from various states and Union Territories. The interactive nature of the 'Viksit Bharat Strategy Room' allows users to visualize data, trends, and policies in an immersive environment.
It features voice-enabled AI for interaction and video conferencing capabilities, fostering collaboration among stakeholders. Several government organizations have collaborated on this initiative, including iGOT Karmayogi for skill training and NITI Aayog's National Data and Analytics Platform for accessible datasets.
The National E-Governance Division and Bhashini have provided support for development and multi-lingual capabilities, respectively. The integration of geospatial tools for area-based planning, supported by PM Gatishakti BISAG-N team and DPIIT, enhances the platform's utility for policymakers at state, district, and block levels.
Overall, 'NITI For States' and the 'Viksit Bharat Strategy Room' mark significant steps towards empowering government officials with the knowledge and tools necessary for effective governance and policy implementation.
