New Delhi Welcomes Global Leaders for Raisina Dialogue 2025.


New Delhi is set to host the Raisina Dialogue 2025, India’s flagship conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, with prominent world leaders arriving to take part in discussions on global challenges.

 

On Sunday, Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon, Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, Peruvian Foreign Minister Elmer Schialer Salcedo, and former Maldivian President Mohamed Nasheed landed in the Indian capital ahead of the key summit.

 

The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, welcomed the dignitaries, posting on X: “More arrivals for @RaisinaDialogue 2025! Welcome to India, DPM Xavier Bettel of Luxembourg & FM Tanja Fajon of Slovenia.”

 

He further acknowledged the arrival of Mohamed Nasheed and Elmer Schialer Salcedo, stating, “Greetings to our esteemed guests arriving for @RaisinaDialogue2025! FM Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa of Ghana, FM Elmer Schialer Salcedo of Peru & Former President of the Republic of Maldives @MohamedNasheed, arrive to a warm welcome in New Delhi.”

 

Earlier, Cuba’s Deputy Prime Minister Eduardo Martinez Diaz and Ghana’s Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa also arrived to attend the high-profile event. On Friday, Nepal’s Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba reached Delhi for the summit. Jaiswal noted her arrival, writing: “Warm welcome to FM Arzu Rana Deuba of Nepal as she arrives in New Delhi for Raisina Dialogue 2025.”

 

The Raisina Dialogue, scheduled from 17 to 19 March, is hosted by the Observer Research Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs.

 

The annual event brings together leaders from politics, business, media, and civil society to discuss global affairs and opportunities for cooperation.

 

In a statement, the Observer Research Foundation highlighted the significance of the event, stating: “Every year, leaders in politics, business, media, and civil society converge in New Delhi to discuss the state of the world and explore opportunities for cooperation on a wide range of contemporary matters.”

 

The conference is designed as a multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral forum, featuring discussions involving heads of state, cabinet ministers, and local government officials.

 

They are joined by key figures from the private sector, academia, and media to engage in dialogue on pressing international issues.
