Tensions flared at the Shambhu border near Ambala on Friday as videos emerged purportedly showing farmers pelting stones at security personnel, prompting the Haryana Police to release the footage and assert that "ruckus cannot be allowed under the guise of farmers' movement."

The Haryana Police shared several video clips on social media platforms depicting young protesters with covered faces hurling stones at security forces at the Shambhu border.

In another video, farmers were seen collecting stones seemingly for further action.

Authorities stated that 25 security personnel, including 18 Haryana Police and 7 paramilitary personnel, sustained injuries during the clashes.

They condemned the alleged attempt by protesters to provoke police personnel, highlighting a video showing a youth brandishing a sword and others carrying sticks and challenging officers.

Meanwhile, farmer leaders spearheading the "Delhi Chalo" protest accused Haryana security personnel of employing "force" against them, resorting to tear gas shells and rubber bullets, resulting in numerous injuries. They raised this issue during a meeting with Union ministers on Thursday night.

While the Haryana Police emphasise maintaining law and order and preventing "ruckus," farmer leaders claim excessive force was used against peaceful protesters. The authenticity of the videos and the extent of provocation remain subject to further investigation.
