Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj issued a stern letter to Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar this Wednesday, addressing critical shortages of medicines in Delhi’s public health facilities, including Mohalla clinics, hospitals, and dispensaries.

In his communication, which was also shared on the social media platform X, Bhardwaj accused high-level health officials of misleading the government and the Legislative Assembly about the availability of essential medicines.

The minister’s allegations didn’t stop at shortages alone. He criticised the cessation of free testing services at Mohalla clinics, suggesting that the administrative officers, including the Secretary of Health, resort to "frivolous excuses" rather than fulfilling their duties.

Bhardwaj’s call to action was clear: for the Chief Secretary to engage in "positive work" as expected by the government.

In a move coinciding with Ram Navami and amid preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) unveiled a new website titled “Aap ka Ram Rajya.”

This digital platform aims to highlight the achievements of AAP’s governance in Delhi and Punjab, drawing parallels to the utopian 'Ram Rajya'—a symbol of ideal governance.

At the website’s launch, prominent AAP figures including Saurabh Bharadwaj, Sanjay Singh, Atishi, and Jasmine Shah touted the transformative projects their administrations have implemented.

MP Sanjay Singh highlighted the global recognition of AAP’s governance model, particularly praising the profitable budget management of Delhi despite expansive development work.

At the event, AAP minister Atishi drew comparisons between the mythical governance of Lord Ram and the real-world efforts of Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi's Chief Minister.

She likened Kejriwal’s struggles and the opposition he faced to the mythological trials of Lord Ram, emphasising their commitment to realising a vision of 'Ram Rajya' in modern governance.

This series of events reflects AAP's strategic positioning ahead of elections, using both governance track records and cultural symbolism to appeal to the electorate, while also addressing immediate administrative challenges such as the health sector’s operational issues.
