Rajasthan Hit by Torrential Rain Second Day Running.

Normal life was thrown out of gear across Rajasthan as heavy rainfall battered the state for a second consecutive day on Tuesday, officials said.

The relentless downpour left parts of Jaipur, Churu, Pali, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar and Hanumangarh inundated, causing severe waterlogging and traffic disruptions, they said.

According to the India Meteorological Department, Bijolia in Bhilwara district received the highest rainfall, followed by Bhainsrorgarh in Chittorgarh, Makrana in Nagaur, Niwai in Tonk, Mandana in Kota and Sambhar in Jaipur district.

In Bundi, the Meja river overflowed, cutting off road connectivity to several villages, local officials said. In Jodhpur, railway services were affected as tracks were submerged due to continuous rains.

Severe waterlogging was reported in multiple neighbourhoods of Jaipur, where water entered homes and caused extensive inconvenience to residents. Major traffic snarls were reported across the city, with vehicles stuck on Tonk Road for over an hour.

The weather department has issued warnings for heavy to extremely heavy rainfall for parts of the Kota, Udaipur, Bharatpur and Bikaner divisions on Wednesday.
