An Indian Air Force remotely piloted aircraft crashed Thursday in Pithala village in Jaisalmer district, the IAF confirmed.
The incident occurred during a routine training sortie, with no damage to personnel or property reported, according to Indian Air Force officials.
Upon learning of the crash, district administration and Air Force personnel swiftly responded, with the fire brigade also dispatched to the scene.
"One Remotely Piloted Aircraft of the Indian Air Force met with an accident near Jaisalmer today during a routine training sortie,' IAF said in a post on X.
"A Court of Inquiry has been constituted to find out the cause of the accident," the IAF added.
As of now, there have been no reports of casualties or losses in connection with the incident.
