Beginning his Lok Sabha campaign in Uttarakhand from Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar district, he also said that more development work has been done in Uttarakhand over the last 10 years than in the 50-60 years before that.
"Don't you think the corrupt should go to jail. The corrupt are threatening and abusing me. But they can't deter me. Action against each one of the corrupt will continue," Modi said.
In the rally, Modi said that whatever work BJP has done till now, is just the 'trailer' and the party will do more if elected.
The prime minister's remarks come amid opposition onslaught against the ruling party in the wake of arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and JMM leader Hemant Soren.
Asking people to further strengthen him, PM Modi said he has guaranteed making India the third biggest economy in the world in the third term.
"Modi's guarantee means fulfilment of the guarantee," he said.
"Development happens when the intentions are right. Right intentions lead to good results," the prime minister added.
State BJP president Mahendra Bhatt said that more than one lakh people attended the rally on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, "Uttarakhand lives in the heart of the prime minister. The people of Uttarakhand always look forward to his visits eagerly."
Taking a jibe at the Congress, PM Modi said that the party gives ticket to people who talk about breaking the nation when they should be punished.
He further said, "Party who has not been in power for last 10 years, talks about creating a ruckus, will you vote for such party?"
Modi highlighted the significant strides made in Uttarakhand through the sanctioning of numerous large-scale projects by the central government over the past decade, with projects worth over Rs 1.5 lakh crore already underway in the state.
