India, France, and Australia have once again emphasised their dedication to maintaining a free, open, and rules-based Indo-Pacific region. This reaffirmation came during a virtual meeting where the three countries reviewed the progress made under the three primary pillars of their trilateral cooperation: maritime safety and security, marine and environmental cooperation, and multilateral engagement.

 

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) released a statement highlighting the collaborative efforts made in these areas. It was noted that significant progress has been achieved, particularly in enhancing maritime safety and security.

The MEA spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, shared insights from the discussions on social media. This recent meeting builds on the foundation laid during the second India-France-Australia Trilateral Focal Points Meeting held last year.
