India firmly dismissed Pakistan's allegations of Indian involvement in the recent school bus attack in Khuzdar, Balochistan, labelling the claims as baseless and politically motivated.
Responding to the accusation, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal issued a strong statement condemning Pakistan’s attempt to link India to the incident. He stated that such allegations are part of a pattern used by Pakistan to distract from its own internal challenges and deteriorating global reputation.
“India rejects the baseless allegations made by Pakistan regarding Indian involvement with the incident in Khuzdar earlier today,” Jaiswal said. “India condoles the loss of lives in all such incidents. However, in order to divert attention from its reputation as the global epicenter of terrorism and to hide its own gross failings, it has become second nature for Pakistan to blame India for all its internal issues. This attempt to hoodwink the world is doomed to fail.”
The statement came after Pakistan accused India of being behind a suspected suicide bombing that targeted a school bus in Khuzdar city on Wednesday morning. The attack left four children dead and several others injured. Reports indicate that approximately 40 students were on board the bus, which was en route to an army-run school when the explosion occurred.
Pakistan's military and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif were quick to denounce the attack and alleged the involvement of what they termed “Indian terror proxies.” However, Pakistani authorities did not provide any concrete evidence to substantiate the claim.
In a statement issued by the military’s media wing, it was declared, “Planners, abettors and executors of this cowardly Indian sponsored attack will be hunted down and brought to justice.” Despite the accusations, India reiterated its position of non-involvement and criticised Pakistan for attempting to deflect blame without credible proof. The Indian government also extended its condolences for the loss of innocent lives in the tragic incident.
