India and the UAE discussed ways to strengthen air force cooperation on Thursday. Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh met Major General Staff Pilot Rashed Mohammed Abdullah Al Shamsi, Commander UAE Air Force & Air Defence, in New Delhi on Thursday.
 
“Both countries held discussions on strengthening Air Force cooperation through participation in Exercises, Air Shows, Defence Exhibitions, and the sharing of experiences, etc. They also discussed defence equipment and air defence requirements in view of the evolving & modern warfare,” the official post of the Indian Ministry of Defence cites.  
 
The India-UAE defence cooperation was established in 2006 with the formation of the Joint Defence Cooperation Committee (JDCC). Though a formal agreement for the same was signed in 2003. With time, the defence and bilateral relations between India and the UAE have enhanced.
