The Indian and British Army are undergoing the 8th edition of the biennial joint military Exercise AJEYA WARRIOR. The exercise is being held in Rajasthan from November 17 to 30.
The exercise, being held since 2011, in 2025, brings together 240 personnel with equal representation from the Indian Army and the British Army. The Sikh Regiment is representing the Indian Army in the exercise.
This military exercise highlights India and the United Kingdom’s commitment to maintaining global peace and safety.
“Exercise Ajeya Warrior aims to strengthen interoperability and operational readiness, enabling both armies to conduct joint company-level operations in semi-urban terrain,” the official account of the Indian Army wrote in a post on X.
“Conducted under a United Nations mandate, the exercise focuses on counter-terrorism operations in a semi-urban environment. Training over the next two weeks will include joint mission planning at Brigade level, integrated tactical drills, simulation-based scenarios and company-level field training exercises replicating real-life counter-terror contingencies. The exercise also aims to share best practices, enhance tactical proficiency and develop coordinated responses for managing complex operations in challenging environments,” cited the press release.
The opening ceremony of the exercise was held at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges, Rajasthan.
