Indian Army Deploys 37 QRT Teams In Jammu For Terrorists.

The Indian Army has deployed 37 additional Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) in the Jammu region to respond quickly to any terror attack.

This comes after a brave effort by soldiers from the Garhwal Regiment, who, despite being injured, stopped terrorists from stealing weapons during a gun battle in the village of Badnota in Kathua district on Monday.

As per the latest reports, these QRTs are stationed across all 10 districts of Jammu. They are well-trained soldiers ready to handle any situation instantly and will also be used in specific anti-terror operations.

This quick response aims to prevent terrorists from escaping, which has happened in previous attacks.

During the gun battle in Badnota, the injured soldiers fought back so effectively that the terrorists couldn't snatch the weapons.

"The terrorists tried to take the weapons but failed due to the swift and heavy retaliation of the soldiers despite their injuries," sources said.

The terrorists, wearing body cams, were forced to retreat due to precise counterfire, allowing reinforcements to secure the area.

Nearly 50 people have been detained for questioning as the hunt for the terrorists continues. Among them is the driver of a tipper truck who was near the army vehicles when the attack happened.

Authorities are investigating whether he intentionally slowed down the convoy.

Additionally, there are reports that the terrorists forced a woman in the village of Sadota to cook for them a few days before the attack.

In Udhampur district, a village defence guard noticed suspicious movement in Sang, leading a police sentry to open fire as a precaution.

Reinforcements, including the Army, police, and Special Operations Group (SOG), quickly arrived to search the area.

DIG Udhampur-Reasi range Mohammad Rayees and SSP Udhampur Joginder Singh are monitoring the situation.

The search operation has entered its fourth day since Monday's terror attack, with security forces expanding the search radius to encompass Udhampur, Samba, Rajouri, and Poonch districts.

They are supported by helicopters, UAV surveillance, sniffer dogs, and metal detectors. The search continues for two terrorists believed to have been injured in an encounter on Tuesday.
