Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) recently celebrated its 65th anniversary, marking more than six decades of significant contributions to India's energy sector. On this occasion, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri recognized the company’s extraordinary efforts and praised its role in shielding Indian citizens from the impact of soaring global fuel prices over the past three years.

 

In a post on X, the Union Minister commended Indian Oil's unwavering commitment to prioritising the needs of Indian citizens, especially during times of global fuel inflation.

 

He highlighted the company’s dedication to maintaining fuel availability, affordability, and sustainability, even as other parts of the world experienced significant fuel inflation rates of 40-70 percent.

 

The minister acknowledged that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Indian Oil's efforts ensured that the most vulnerable segments of society were protected from the adverse effects of rising fuel costs.

 

Hardeep Puri expressed his admiration for Indian Oil's spirit, which he described as a reflection of a strong nationalistic ethos, efficiency, and innovation. He emphasised that the company has not only been a leader in India’s energy sector but has also made significant strides on the global stage with its pioneering solutions.

 

The minister’s remarks highlighted Indian Oil's role as a symbol of India's march towards becoming a developed nation, or "Viksit Bharat," under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi.

 

The Union Minister also paid tribute to the nearly 30,000 employees of Indian Oil and the extended workforce of over six lakh people, whose relentless efforts have been instrumental in driving India’s progress. He lauded their dedication, which has been vital in ensuring that India continues to advance towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy.

 

Following the minister’s remarks, Indian Oil expressed its gratitude in a response on X, reaffirming its commitment to supporting India's development. The company reiterated its resolve to fuel the nation’s progress with dedication, underlining its commitment to the vision of "Viksit Bharat" and the spirit of putting the nation first.

 

On this momentous occasion, IOCL Chairman Satish Kumar Vaduguri also took to X to share his thoughts. He expressed pride in the company’s incredible journey and acknowledged the hard work and dedication of generations of employees who have contributed to building Indian Oil’s legacy.

 

Vaduguri emphasised that Indian Oil is more than just an energy provider; it has been a vital partner in India’s progress, impacting lives and empowering dreams across the nation.

 

As Indian Oil steps into the future, the company remains committed to its mission of fueling India’s growth with the same passion and purpose that has defined it for over six decades.
