As hostilities between Israel and Iran escalate sharply, missiles have rained down across several parts of Iran, particularly in the capital city, Tehran. Amid Israel's claim of having achieved "total air superiority" over Iran, one of the latest and most dramatic incidents involved a missile striking the compound of the Iranian State TV broadcast station.
Dramatic visuals circulating online show a missile impact that violently shook the studio during a live broadcast. The anchor, Sahar Imami, was in the middle of delivering a news bulletin when the studio was rocked by the blast. In the video, she can be seen rising from her seat and hastily leaving the set as the building trembled. Chants of "Allahu Akbar" were reportedly heard in the background during the commotion.
According to local media in Tehran, Sahar Imami and the other staff members present at the station were unharmed in the attack. Some reports indicate that Imami may have even returned to her post shortly afterward to continue reporting on the unfolding events. The airstrikes come in response to recent Iranian ballistic missile attacks on Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Israel’s Defence Ministry has warned of continued strikes, emphasising that military and government infrastructure in Iran, particularly in Tehran, would remain primary targets. News Arena India cannot independently verify these claims.

As fears of further attacks grip the Iranian population, scenes of panic have emerged. Highways leading out of Tehran are reportedly jammed with traffic as residents flee toward smaller towns in search of safety. Vehicles are seen lining the roads for miles, reflecting the growing sense of urgency among civilians.
In a statement released earlier today, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz addressed the people of Tehran directly. “While there is no intention to physically harm the residents of Tehran as the murderous dictator does against the residents of Israel, the residents of Tehran will be forced to pay the price of dictatorship and evacuate their homes from areas where it will be necessary to attack regime targets and security infrastructure in Tehran. We will continue to protect the residents of Israel,” he said.
The situation remains tense, with both nations exchanging threats and fire, while the international community watches with growing concern over the potential for broader regional escalation.
