The Army said that the incident in which a Jawan lost his life at Sunjuwan military base in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday morning was not a terrorist attack.

 

As per officials, “the army has started an investigation into the incident, preliminary investigation by the army suggests that the incident in which a soldier lost his life in the morning is not a terrorist attack.”

 

Meanwhile, “the cause of death of Jawan is being currently investigated,” Army officials said in a statement on Monday. 

 

Earlier reports indicated that the soldier who lost his life was shot at from a distance with an American-made M4-Carbine assault rifle. 

 

He had been injured and moved to a hospital where doctors had been unable to save his life, reports had said.
