The Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday rejected the plea of Satvat Info Sol Private Limited, the outsourcing agency responsible for conducting the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination, against its blacklisting.
The court upheld the decision of the JSSC to blacklist the agency.
This action followed the paper leak of the JSSC-CGL examination, after which the commission issued a notice to Satvat Info Sol Private Limited, asking why the company should not be blacklisted. In response, the agency filed a petition in the High Court challenging the notice.
The single bench of the High Court, considering the decision of JSSC to be justified, ordered the agency to be blacklisted. The agency then approached the court again, but this time, the court upheld the decision of the single bench.
Earlier on Tuesday, the High Court had stayed the publication of the final results of the recently held JSSC-CGL examination. The court heard a petition seeking a CBI probe into the exam paper leak case and issued a stay on the final results until further orders.
The court also directed the state government to register an FIR under the Examination Conducting Act 2023 in response to the complaint lodged regarding the leak of the JSSC CGL exam paper. The government was instructed to submit a report after conducting an investigation.
A Public Interest Litigation was filed by one Rajesh Kumar in this regard. A total of 2,231 candidates had been successful in the JSSC-CGL exam 2023.
Document verification for these candidates was scheduled to take place from December 16 to 20. Some candidates had their documents verified on December 16, but following the High Court's order, the process was halted.
