Jyoti Malhotra roams in Lahore with 6 gunmen

Callum Mill, the creator behind the YouTube channel Callum Abroad, visited Pakistan in March, where he encountered Jyoti Malhotra at a market in Lahore.

Jyoti Malhotra was accompanied by six gunmen when she visited a market in Lahore.

Jyoti Malhotra, a YouTuber from Haryana, has been arrested on charges of espionage for Pakistan. Recent revelations have deepened suspicions about her activities, particularly a video showing her being heavily guarded by at least six men armed with AK-47 rifles as she walked through Anarkali Bazaar in Lahore, Pakistan.

The unusual security arrangement stunned fellow YouTuber Callum Mill from Scotland, who happened to be visiting the area at the same time.

Callum Mill, who runs the YouTube channel Callum Abroad, travelled to Pakistan in March. During his visit to the bustling Anarkali Bazaar in Lahore, he recorded a video that has now gone viral. In it, several men can be seen carrying firearms and wearing jackets with the slogan "No Fear" emblazoned on them. As the video progresses, Jyoti Malhotra appears on screen, also engaged in filming.

The two YouTubers strike up a brief conversation. Callum introduces himself as a Scottish content creator. Jyoti inquires if it's his first trip to Pakistan, to which Callum responds, “No, five times.” She then asks if he has ever been to India and introduces herself as “India.” When Callum asks her opinion on Pakistani hospitality, Jyoti replies, “It’s great.”

However, what catches Callum's attention is the armed entourage around Jyoti. As she continues walking, he remarks with visible surprise, “She’s the one with the guys, with all the security. I don’t know why, what’s the need for all the guns? Look at all the guns she has got surrounding her. There are six gunmen surrounding her.” The video also captures several other individuals accompanying Jyoti, some of whom resemble tourists.

This footage has raised numerous questions. While Callum roams the marketplace unaccompanied, Jyoti is flanked by heavily armed men. The security personnel, notably, are not in uniform and appear to be in plain clothes, though they may be part of a private or unofficial security detail. It remains unclear who authorised such protection or why it was deemed necessary.

The video has only intensified suspicions about Jyoti Malhotra’s connections and the special treatment she received during her travels in Pakistan. Reports suggest that she was welcomed at high-profile gatherings, where she interacted with prominent figures in Pakistan’s security and intelligence community.

Indian police say that even after returning to India, she maintained contact with some of these officials. Her digital devices are currently being forensically examined to determine what kind of sensitive information may have been shared.

Investigators are also probing Malhotra’s financial background. According to police, her lifestyle appeared far more lavish than her known sources of income could support. She reportedly travelled exclusively in first-class airline cabins, stayed at luxury hotels, and dined at upscale restaurants. Authorities suspect her trip to Pakistan was "sponsored," although the identity of the sponsor remains unclear.

Further adding to the intrigue, shortly after her return from Pakistan, Jyoti Malhotra embarked on another international trip—this time to China. There too, she was seen travelling in high-end vehicles and visiting luxury jewellery stores, continuing a pattern of extravagance inconsistent with her declared earnings.

The investigation into Jyoti Malhotra continues, as authorities attempt to piece together the full extent of her activities and affiliations abroad.
