A case has been registered against actress Kalpika Ganesh for allegedly causing a public nuisance at Prism Pub in Gachibowli during a birthday celebration late last month, police said on Saturday.

 

The incident reportedly occurred when the actress, accompanied by a friend, visited the pub to celebrate her birthday. A dispute allegedly erupted between her and the pub’s staff over an undisclosed issue. According to officials, the situation escalated, and police were called to the scene.

 

Police officials stated that, even in the presence of law enforcement officers, the actress allegedly abused members of the pub’s staff.

Following a formal complaint, Gachibowli police sought permission from the court to proceed with legal action.

 

After receiving court approval, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act. The case is currently under investigation.

 

Authorities said they are likely to issue a formal notice to the actress, asking her to appear before them for questioning as part of the inquiry.

 

Kalpika Ganesh, known for her roles in Telugu films, has not yet responded publicly to the allegations.
