UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will visit India next week to attend an international finance conference, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Saturday.
The visit is scheduled from October 8 to October 9 and is expected to strengthen ties between the two countries in trade, technology, defence, and security amid global uncertainties linked to US policies.
Starmer’s trip follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Britain in July, during which the two sides signed a free trade agreement (FTA).
