Arvind Kejriwal, the convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Chief Minister of Delhi, alongside his counterpart from Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, kickstarted the party's Lok Sabha poll campaign in Delhi on Friday, setting the tone with the rallying cry 'Sansad mein bhi Kejriwal, to Dilli hogi aur khush haal' (With Kejriwal in Parliament, Delhi will prosper).

As the country gears up for the upcoming general elections scheduled for April-May, the launch event took place at the AAP headquarters on DDU Marg, witnessing the enthusiastic participation of party leaders and workers.

Addressing the gathering, Kejriwal reiterated his commitment to serving the people of Delhi, whom he considers his family. Emphasizing the party's slogan, he underscored the transformative impact he envisions for Delhi if he secures a seat in the Parliament.

Highlighting the achievements of the AAP-led governments in Delhi and Punjab, Kejriwal pointed out that these are the only states offering free electricity supply to their residents.

He accused the BJP-led central government of obstructing the progress of the AAP administration in Delhi, alleging interference in various welfare schemes and projects.

Asserting the need for a strong mandate, Kejriwal urged the electorate to support AAP candidates in all seven parliamentary constituencies of Delhi, citing the opposition's attempts to thwart the developmental initiatives undertaken by the party.

Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab, echoed Kejriwal's sentiments, expressing confidence in AAP's prospects in the Lok Sabha polls. He accused the Centre of impeding the work of both the Kejriwal government in Delhi and the development initiatives in Punjab by withholding funds.

Mann emphasized the significance of AAP's presence in the Parliament, suggesting that a substantial number of AAP MPs would ensure unhindered progress for Delhi and Punjab. He predicted a sweeping victory for AAP in Punjab, projecting a 13-0 result in its favor.

In a strategic move, AAP has forged an alliance with its INDIA bloc partner, Congress, for the general elections, except in Punjab where both parties will contest independently.

Under the seat-sharing arrangement, AAP will contest four out of seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, while Congress will field candidates for the remaining three.

Moreover, AAP has secured constituencies in Gujarat and Haryana under the alliance, along with fielding candidates in select constituencies in Assam. As the election fervor intensifies, AAP workers are geared to disseminate information about the party's accomplishments through pamphlets during the campaign trail.
