A top police officer said that Farooq Nali was “one of the most wanted militants and was one of the longest-surviving militants in the valley. He was killed in a gun battle with police and security forces.”
“He was involved in many terror-related incidents in the valley. Including attacks on civilians as well as security forces,” the officer said.
Terming his killing a big moment and achievement for the security forces, he said this is a big achievement considering the threat that this man could have posed to security establishments in the valley.
