In preparation for the Union Budget 2025-26, oil companies have reduced the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 7, effective today. This marks the second month in a row that the price of commercial LPG cylinders has been lowered.
Starting today, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi is Rs 1,797, down from Rs 1,804. This change comes just before the Union Budget, which will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the eighth consecutive time.
No change in domestic LPG prices
However, the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders remains the same. In Delhi, a domestic LPG cylinder costs Rs 803, in Kolkata it's Rs 829, in Mumbai it's Rs 802, and in Chennai it's Rs 818.
Both commercial and domestic LPG cylinder prices are revised on the first day of every month.

Recent price changes
On January 1, the price of a commercial LPG cylinder was reduced by Rs 14.50, from Rs 1,818.50 to Rs 1,804. Prior to that, on December 1, the price increased by Rs 16.50.
In November, the price had gone up by Rs 62, bringing the cost to Rs 1,802, and in October, it was raised by Rs 48.50, reaching Rs 1,740 from Rs 1,691.50.
This ongoing fluctuation in commercial LPG prices reflects the market conditions and the government's actions in preparation for the upcoming budget.
