The Public Accounts Committee (PAC), a vital body that scrutinises government expenditure and appropriations, will be chaired by senior Congress MP KC Venugopal.
The PAC reviews the accounts of various government departments, including railways, defence, and civil ministries, based on reports from the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).
