Pilgrims Grateful for Food and Shelter at Maha Kumbh Mela.

The Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj continues to witness a steady stream of devotees despite the conclusion of the major bathing festivals.

Pilgrims from across India and abroad are still arriving at the sacred confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati to take part in this deeply spiritual gathering.

A group of 1,000 devotees from Karnataka recently made their way to the Mela, adding to the millions who have already participated in this grand event.

Many of them expressed gratitude for the well-organised arrangements, particularly the efforts of the Adani Group and ISKCON in providing food and shelter to pilgrims.

Kavita, a devotee from Karnataka, shared how the hospitality she received far exceeded her expectations. She spoke about the comfortable facilities, the quality of food, and the overall warmth of the welcome extended to them.

She expressed her gratitude to the Adani Group for their generosity and also acknowledged the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in ensuring smooth arrangements.

Another devotee, Jayant, also praised the contributions of ISKCON and the Adani Group. He highlighted how their efforts provided not only essential food and shelter but also a sense of security and comfort. For him and many others, these arrangements made the spiritual journey more fulfilling.

Praveen, who was attending the Maha Kumbh for the first time, found the experience overwhelming. He was deeply moved by the hospitality and the way the arrangements had been made to cater to the needs of the pilgrims.

He described the care provided by ISKCON and the Adani Group as exceptional and said he felt blessed to be a part of such a grand event.

Saumya Ragi, a devotee from Nepal, echoed similar sentiments. She described the facilities as excellent and expressed appreciation for the generosity and care shown by the organisers.

According to her, the experience of attending the Maha Kumbh had been unforgettable, largely due to the hospitality extended by ISKCON and the Adani Group.

Ram Kishore Das, an ISKCON priest, spoke about the scale of their operations in providing food to lakhs of people every day. He shared how they coordinated with the local administration to ensure that groups of pilgrims, like the one from Karnataka, were welcomed and taken care of.

The devotees were provided with traditional meals, including daal, roti, sabzi, puris, and halwa, all made with pure desi ghee and mustard oil.

He described the food served by ISKCON as more than just a meal, but a sacred offering to God. The Prasad, he said, was blessed at the holy confluence of Prayag, making it even more meaningful.

He also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the pilgrims, saying that their joy and appreciation were the biggest rewards.

As the Maha Kumbh Mela nears its conclusion, the spiritual energy in Prayagraj remains strong. Devotees continue to participate in religious rituals, with the final ‘Amrit Snan’ set to take place on February 26, 2025.

The unity and devotion seen at the event highlight the deep faith that brings millions to this sacred gathering, making it a truly remarkable spiritual experience.
