Meerut woman’s father wants her hanged for husband’s murder.

The father of a woman from Meerut, who allegedly killed her husband with the help of her lover and hid his dismembered body in a cement-filled drum, has demanded that she be sentenced to death.

He revealed that his daughter was addicted to drugs and murdered her husband because he tried to stop her from consuming them.

According to the father, Muskan Rastogi, the accused, confessed to her parents that she had committed the crime as her husband, Saurabh Rajput, would not allow her to take drugs. He further claimed that her lover, Sahil Shukla, had introduced her to drugs when they started their affair.

Speaking to the media, Muskan’s father, Pramod Rastogi, expressed his anguish, stating that his daughter no longer deserved to live. "My daughter has no right to live. Saurabh was like my son, and what she has done is unforgivable. She should be hanged," he said.

A Love Marriage Ends in Murder

Saurabh Rajput and Muskan Rastogi had a love marriage in 2016 and had been living together in a rented house in Meerut for the past three years with their five-year-old daughter. Police investigations revealed that Saurabh was last seen alive on 4 March, the day he was allegedly murdered.

Muskan, along with her lover Sahil, is accused of drugging Saurabh before stabbing him to death. According to the police, the couple then dismembered his body, sealed it inside a plastic drum filled with cement, and hid it inside their house.

A Father’s Distress and Shocking Confession

Muskan’s father, Pramod, recounted the moment his daughter admitted to the murder. On 17 March, Muskan called her mother, Kavita Rastogi, and told her she had an argument with Saurabh.

When she arrived at her parents’ home, she broke down in tears and initially claimed that Saurabh had been stabbed to death by his own family members.

However, when Pramod insisted that they go to the police, Muskan changed her story and confessed that she and her lover Sahil had killed Saurabh.

Pramod revealed that Sahil and Muskan had studied together until Class 8 and reconnected through social media in 2019. He claimed that Sahil had introduced Muskan to drugs when Saurabh went to London two years ago.

The Chilling Details of the Murder

During questioning, both Muskan and Sahil admitted to planning and executing Saurabh’s murder. On the night of 4 March, Muskan allegedly spiked Saurabh’s food with sedatives, making him unconscious.

She then called Sahil to her house, and together they stabbed Saurabh in the chest with a butcher’s knife before slitting his throat.

To dispose of the body, they severed Saurabh’s hands and bought a large plastic drum, cement, and sand from a nearby market the following day. They then encased his body in cement inside the drum and left it in their house.

How the Murder Came to Light

The crime was uncovered when Muskan’s parents approached the police, revealing her shocking confession. The police arrested both Muskan and Sahil, who then led them to the hidden body.

Due to the hardened cement, it took authorities over two hours to open the drum. Eventually, it had to be taken to a mortuary, where it was cut open to recover Saurabh’s remains.

Police also discovered that Saurabh had falsely claimed to work in the merchant navy, while in reality, he was employed at a bakery in London. He had recently returned to Meerut before he was murdered.
