MHA reshuffle sees transfer of 7 officers out of J&K, 9 postings

As per the orders, 7 officers, including 5 IAS and 2 IPS have been transferred out of Jammu and Kashmir, while 9 officers, including 6 IAS and 3 IPS have been posted to the Union Territory in the latest round of postings and transfers.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered a major reshuffle of All India Services, transferring a total of 49 Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service officers across the country, including changes affecting the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

 

As per the orders, 7 officers, including 5 IAS and 2 IPS have been transferred out of Jammu and Kashmir, while 9 officers, including 6 IAS and 3 IPS have been posted to the Union Territory in the latest round of postings and transfers.

 

The reshuffle of IAS and IPS officers of the AGMUT cadre by the Centre saw  transferring of several officers across Union Territories and states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Though a routine exercise seen at frequent intervals, the reshuffle is being seen as major step by MHA to streamline functioning in bureaucracy as well Police department.

 

According to an official order issued by the MHA, the transfers have been ordered with immediate effect and will remain in force until further orders. A significant number of officers have been moved to and from Jammu and Kashmir, with senior IAS officers including Ashwani Kumar, R Alice Vaz, Anjali Sehrawat, Sagar D Dattatray, Akriti Sagar and Kumar Abhishek posted to the Union Territory.

 

Several officers serving in Jammu and Kashmir have been transferred out to Delhi, Ladakh and Chandigarh. These include Santosh D Vaidya, Niraj Kumar, Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhary and Saloni Rai. The order also lists multiple transfers involving Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Goa, Puducherry, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh, reflecting a broad administrative reshuffle across the AGMUT cadre.

 

In the IPS cadre, officers including Prashant Priya Gautam, Sudhanshu Dhama and Sunny Gupta have been posted to Jammu and Kashmir, while several others have been shifted to Delhi, Goa, Puducherry and Arunachal Pradesh.
