The Modi government has assigned portfolios to the 71 ministers sworn in along with the Prime Minister on Sunday.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi has allocated portfolios to his Cabinet colleagues who took oath on Sunday. He has preferred continuity and given the Home Ministry to Amit Shah, Defence Ministry to Rajnath Singh, Finance to Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs to Jaishankar, and the Road and Highways Ministry to Nitin Gadkari. 

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will oversee several key portfolios in his third term, including the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Space, and all other portfolios not allocated to any minister.

Ministries have been allocated to the 71 ministers who joined the Modi 3.0 in a grand swearing-in ceremony on Sunday. Here is the complete list:
