Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said the Modi government will not rest until all Naxals either surrender, are caught, or are eliminated.
Shah praised the CRPF, Chhattisgarh Police, District Reserve Guard (DRG), and CoBRA soldiers for their success in carrying out 'Operation Black Forest' on Karregutta hill in Chhattisgarh.
He said the government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is dedicated to making India free from Naxalites. He said the Modi government will keep trying until every Naxalite either gives up, is caught, or is dealt with. Shah said the courage and heroism shown by the jawans in Operation Black Forest will be remembered as a special part of the history of fighting against Naxals.
Even though the weather was hot, they were at a high altitude, and there was a danger of IEDs at every step, the security forces still did the operation with strong confidence and managed to destroy a big Naxal base camp, he said. The Naxals' material storage and supply chain set up on Karregutta hill were bravely taken down by teams from the Chhattisgarh Police, CRPF, DRG, and CoBRA, he added.

The home minister stated that Naxals have caused serious harm to some of the country's most underdeveloped areas, affecting schools, hospitals, and blocking government programmes that help people in need. Because of ongoing efforts against Naxals, there has been a fresh start for 6.5 crore people living in the area from Pashupatinath to Tirupati, he said.
Shah also mentioned that the Modi government is doing everything needed to help security personnel who got badly hurt while fighting Naxal groups, making sure their lives are easier. He also said the government is determined to end Naxalism in the country by March 31, 2026.
Chhattisgarh's Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma were also there at the event.
