Modi's meditation critics ignorant of India: Chugh

"It is unfortunate that critics question PM Modi meditating at Vivekananda Rock Memorial. They believe the West is best, while Swami Vivekananda declared India is the best. Those who vacation in nightclubs and pubs and consider Italy the best will not appreciate India’s culture or Vivekananda's contributions. We are proud of PM Modi for meditating there", Chugh said.

On Saturday, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh indirectly criticized the Congress party and the Gandhi family for their remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meditation at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanniyakumari.

Chugh suggested that those who prefer Italy might not understand Indian culture. He stated, "It is unfortunate that questions are being raised about PM Modi meditating at Vivekananda Rock Memorial. These critics believe the West is best, while Swami Vivekananda declared in Chicago that India is the best. He championed Indian culture globally. Those who vacation in nightclubs and pubs, who consider Italy the best, will not appreciate India’s culture or Swami Vivekananda's contributions. We are proud of PM Modi for meditating at Vivekananda Rock Memorial".

Prime Minister Modi is currently in Kanniyakumari, meditating at the Dhyan Mandapam, where Swami Vivekananda is believed to have had a divine vision of 'Bharat Mata'. His meditation session is set to conclude today.

Chugh also emphasized the importance of voting, urging everyone to participate in the electoral process.

"Exercising one’s franchise is very important. There should be a strong government in the country for the next five years, and a decisive and dynamic leader should lead us. So, every voter should vote, I urge everyone to vote," he said.

Chugh, accompanied by his family, cast their votes at a polling booth in Amritsar, proudly displaying the indelible ink mark on their fingers afterward.

In Amritsar, Taranjit Singh Sandhi, who retired as the Indian envoy to the United States, is contesting against Congress’ sitting MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla, AAP’s Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, and Shiromani Akali Dal’s Anil Joshi.
