Mukesh Ambani, Amitabh Bachchan lead exclusive guest list for Ram Mandir consecration

Prominent personalities have been invited to mark their presence at the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony on Jan 22.


As the inauguration of the Ram Mandir draws near, an exclusive guest list for the event boasts notable names such as billionaire Mukesh Ambani and Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan. The initial list of 8,000 invitees has been curated to include a few hundred prominent individuals, spanning politicians, industrialists, actors, athletes, bureaucrats, and diplomats.

 

Amitabh Bachchan is expected to arrive in Ayodhya via a private chartered plane to witness the unveiling of the 161-feet tall pink sandstone shrine. Joining him from the film industry are acclaimed actors Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Allu Arjun, Mohanlal, Anupam Kher, Chiranjeevi, along with sarod maestro Amjad Ali, lyricist Manoj Muntashir, writer Prasoon Joshi, and directors Sanjay Bhansali and Chandraprakash Dwivedi.

 

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani, accompanied by his family, including mother Kokilaben, wife Neeta, sons Akash and Anant, daughter-in-law Shloka, and future daughter-in-law Radhika Merchant, is also on the exclusive guest list. Other notable industrialists include Kumar Mangalam Birla, Ajay Piramal, Anand Mahindra, Ajay Shriram, and K Krithivasan.

 

Healthcare tycoon Naresh Trehan, Dr Reddy's Pharmaceuticals' K Satish Reddy, Zee Entertainment Enterprises' Punit Goenka, Infosys founder N R Narayana Murthy, and Indian women's cricket captain Mithali Raj are among the distinguished invitees. Former Lok Sabha speaker Meera Kumar, ex-deputy chairman of the Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia, G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, are also part of the noteworthy guest list.

 

While some attendees plan to arrive in private jets on January 22, others intend to take regular flights, arriving a day earlier and staying overnight in Ayodhya or nearby cities such as Lucknow. The carefully curated list showcases a diverse array of influential personalities, underlining the significance of the upcoming Ram temple consecration ceremony, set to be attended by a select and distinguished gathering from various fields.
