Luxury hotel prices in New Delhi have suddenly soared to unimaginable scales ahead of the AI Impact Summit 2026 beginning February 16. As global leaders, tech giants and foreign delegations prepare to arrive in the capital, five-star hotels have sharply raised room tariffs. The summit will take place at Bharat Mandapam in central Delhi from February 16 to 20. A large number of foreign delegates, speakers and technology leaders are expected to attend.
The event has reportedly received more than 35,000 registrations from across the world which is why the luxury hotels are in high demand . Hotels across New Delhi are reporting very high demand and near-full occupancy during the summit dates. On account of heavy demand, hotel prices have increased steeply, as high as Rs 5 L in some hotels just for one night. Rooms that usually cost between Rs 20,000 and Rs 40,000 per night are now being sold at much higher rates.
Travel websites show that during peak dates, especially February 19 and February 20, room prices at several five-star hotels are touching a few lakh rupees per night. Full occupancy and high costs is not only impacting guests from outside the country but also regular travelers who find the sudden climb in the prices out of reach.
While the prices in New Delhi’s luxury segment have exploded for event dates, less rated ones have also gone beyond imagination. In super luxurious category, hotels which normally charge between ₹30,000 and ₹1.5 lakh per night are now quoting prices in multiple lakhs, and in some cases, even crores. At several top hotels, suites that usually sit in the ₹2-3 lakh range are now listed anywhere between ₹10 lakh and ₹30 lakh per night.
What adds to the pressure is availability. Multiple high-end hotels are said to be already sold out, while others are forcing minimum two-night or longer stays. This means guests are paying inflated prices even for nights they may not need. For companies sending teams or for international delegates arriving early, costs are adding up very fast. Compared to March, when prices returned to more realistic levels, the difference feels almost unreal.
