If you’re dealing with poor internet connectivity or prefer not to use online portals, you can still check your Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) balance without data access. The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) provides convenient offline methods to help you stay updated via SMS and missed call services.
Check PF Balance via Missed Call
To check your PF balance, simply give a missed call from your registered mobile number to 9966044425. The call will automatically disconnect, and shortly after, you will receive an SMS containing your latest PF balance along with contribution details.
Important requirements:
- Your Universal Account Number (UAN) must be activated.
- Your registered mobile number should be linked to your UAN.
- At least one KYC (Know Your Customer) document such as Aadhaar, PAN, or bank account number must be updated.
- This service is completely free of charge.
Get PF Details via SMS
You can also receive your PF details by sending an SMS to 7738299899 in the following format:

- Upon sending this message, you’ll get an SMS reply with your PF balance, recent contributions, and KYC status.

- Set a password to complete activation and log in.
How to Update Your KYC Details
- To update your KYC details (Aadhaar, PAN, or bank account number), do the following:
- Log in to the EPFO portal using your UAN and password.
- Navigate to 'Manage' > 'KYC'.
- Add or update your Aadhaar, PAN, or bank details.
- Click 'Save'.
- Wait for your employer to verify and approve the updates.
