NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah said on Saturday that his party will never align with the BJP to form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that any party that sides with the BJP will disappear from Jammu and Kashmir when asked about the allegations of former Srinagar Mayor Junaid Azim Mattoo, who alleged that the NC president was meeting top BJP leadership in Pahalgam to negotiate on the government formation.
He said that there was no question of allying with the BJP, saying that the vote in favour of NC was against the BJP.
“We cannot expect anything, but let the results be declared and decks will be cleared about who has done what in the elections,” he said while replying to the exit polls today.
The ECI has allowed pollsters and media outlets to publish the exit polls on 5th October at 5 pm.
Confident of their victory NC, in a statement on Friday, said that the allegations of NC siding with the BJP are baseless and false.
Furthermore, the party has advised the general public to pay attention to the accusations, as they are false claims spread by people who have sympathies towards one party.
Additionally, Abdullah said that he was confident of Congress’s victory in Jammu and also in the Haryana elections.
He said that the people of Haryana have borne the brunt of the present dispensation, and have thus decided to vote for the Congress party.
The voting for the three-phase J&K assembly elections concluded on October 1, and the results will now be declared on October 8 alongside the Haryana elections.
