Organised at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from 14 to 17 February, the event highlights India's growing presence in the international textile market.
According to the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), the fair has attracted a large number of buyers from countries such as Japan, the UAE, Iran, the USA, Spain, the UK, South Africa, Russia and Australia.
Japan leads in the number of apparel buyers, making a strong representation at the event. The participation of international delegations is expected to enhance India's reputation as a reliable partner in the textile sector.
The event is the largest and most comprehensive textile fair in the country, covering every aspect of the textile industry. It features an expansive exhibition spread across two venues, providing a platform for manufacturers, exporters and buyers to explore new business opportunities.
The expo includes various segments, showcasing fibres, yarns, fabrics, garments, made-ups, home textiles and technical textiles.
The event was inaugurated by Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh, in the presence of Minister of State for Textiles Pabitra Margherita, Textiles Secretary Neelam Shami Rao and Additional Secretary Rohit Kansal.
Their presence highlighted the government's focus on promoting the textile industry and supporting its growth in global markets.
