A group of Pakistani pilgrims has arrived in Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh Mela. They thanked the Indian government for issuing their visas quickly. The visitors praised the event’s organisation and shared their joy at meeting spiritual leaders.
Govind Ram Makhija, one of the pilgrims, expressed hope for future visas. "We are very happy to be here. The event is well organised, and we have been warmly welcomed. We never imagined this would happen," he said. He added that his happiness was beyond words.
Ishwar Lal Makhija, another pilgrim, appreciated the arrangements. "We are grateful to the Indian authorities. From the station to the camps, everything was well managed," he told the media.
Priyanka, visiting India for the first time, shared her excitement. "It feels amazing. We feel deeply connected to our culture. Everything here makes us feel at home," she said.

Kavita, another devotee, expressed her joy at attending the Mela. "We are very fortunate. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our faith. We are grateful to the Indian government. They gave us a 25-day visa in just three days," she said.
Gobind Ram described the peace he felt upon arrival. "As soon as we reached, we heard devotional bhajans. The whole night felt peaceful. We are very happy," he said.
Pilgrims from around the world have praised the arrangements. As of 5 February 2025, over 389.7 million devotees have taken the holy dip since the start of the Mela.
The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 began on Paush Purnima on January 13 2025. It is the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering. Millions from across the globe are attending. The festival will continue until Mahashivratri on 26 February.
