Expressing gratitude to the youth on Friday after receiving such a tremendous response from them to his video posted late at night, Prime Minister Modi appreciated the constructive criticism of the youths which made him feel more connected to them. Through another video post in social media, the Prime Minister thanked all the viewers who engaged themselves in giving suggestions and making positive comments. The short clip sparked immediate interest, pulling in over 2.5 million views within eight minutes of posting and securing more than one million likes on Instagram in under 20 minutes.
The original video, posted just before midnight on Thursday, outlined plans for the Union Cabinet to review a draft law aimed at establishing fast-track courts and harsher penalties for question paper leaks. PM Modi noted that the government intends to push the proposed legislation through Parliament as quickly as possible during the ongoing Monsoon Session. The late-night address resonated widely online, earning the Prime Minister nearly one million new Instagram followers overnight.
Addressing the core of the controversy, PM Modi described examination leaks as a grave issue that has inflicted deep distress on hundreds of thousands of students and their families. The government’s commitment to dealing with exam malpractices in a determined manner was reinforced by him, as he pointed out that ensuring the safety of the academic session for those students whose exams were conducted through NEET irregularly was the primary concern at this moment.
As per sources, at the Cabinet meet held on Friday, the Prime Minister requested his ministerial colleagues to be more active on digital platforms like Instagram. It is understood that the PM asked ministers to interact with youngsters in places where they normally reside on the social media platform.
