As the nation celebrates the vibrant festival of Holi on Monday, several prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh conveyed their heartfelt greetings to the countrymen.
PM Modi took to social media to extend his wishes, expressing hope for a joyous and harmonious celebration. He wrote, "Many happy Holi wishes to all family members of my country. May this traditional festival of colours filled with affection and harmony bring new energy and new enthusiasm in your lives."
Similarly, Amit Shah wished happiness, prosperity, and harmony to everyone on the occasion of Holi, urging the festival to bring colours of joy and prosperity into the lives of all citizens.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also joined in the festive spirit, extending his warm wishes for a joyous celebration. "Best wishes to all of you on the festival of Holi. May this festival of colours infuse joy, enthusiasm, and new energy into your life," he shared on social media platform X.
Notably, Rajnath Singh celebrated Holi with soldiers in Leh on Sunday, accompanied by Chief of the Army Staff, General Manoj Pande and General Officer Commanding, Fire and Fury Corps, Lt Gen Rashim Bali. He also assured to visit the soldiers deployed at Siachen at the earliest.
Holi, a cherished festival celebrated with immense zeal across the country, holds profound cultural significance.
Preceded by the ritual of Holika Dahan, symbolising the victory of good over evil, the festival is dedicated to the timeless love of Radha and Lord Krishna, marking the onset of spring.
